PURPOSE:
To stimulate interest in good
music and its appreciation among the individual
members and throughout the community.
FEES:
$25/year
OUTREACH:
Help support the symphony and
the opera, both in time and money, and annually
hold auditions for two awards to help musicians prepare for a
career in the field of music.
SCHOLARSHIP AT SAN JOSE STATE
UNIVERSITY:
- $1000
- Tuition paid for a Music Major
YOUNG ARTIST AWARD:
A competition for classical
musicians who reside in the northern California area and
are between the ages of 18 and 30. First, Second, and Third
Place winners receive
$1,000.00, $800.00, and $600.00 respectively and are presented in
an April concert.
AREA SERVED:
Mainly South Bay, but open to
anyone interested in music.
MEETINGS:
Held the third Wednesday of the
month, October through May, usually at members’
homes.

Lunch, bring a sandwich. Coffee, tea and dessert
furnished for a $1.00
donation.
